KAZOKU PHILOSOPHY
Kazoku’s foundation is traditional, fresh, and robust. Our broth is homemade from scratch, reducing bones to a rich “umami” or essence of meaty and savory deliciousness. Your taste buds will love the experience!

Our Story
Kazoku means family. Family is one of the most important thing in life. Our Family lived and owned a restaurant in NYC, we moved to Charlotte in 2021 and found out what we’re missing. It is our dream to bring Japanese atmosphere, authentic flavors of Japanese comfort food, and is our pleasure to introduce Japanese soul food and hospitality to Charlotte. We’re equipped to make any meal memorable. We promise you'll feel like family the moment you step through our door. Our focus is not on profit margins, but rather on the guests’ complete satisfaction. Kazoku is a place for you and your family, whether by blood or not, can gather and enjoy Japanese soul food, drinks and atmosphere.
Executive Chef
Chef Hans brings over a decade of experience in Asian cuisine, specializing in modern Japanese ramen. Formally trained in professional ramen craftsmanship, he refined his technique through intensive study rooted in traditional Japanese methods.

At Kazoku, he leads with a focus on depth of flavor, precision, and premium ingredients. His signature creations, including A5 Wagyu Truffle Ramen and Black Garlic Chicken Ramen, showcase a seamless balance of tradition and innovation.
